Private Lessons are a great way to either accelerate progress in a particular grade or to prepare for a performance or competition. We provide private lessons for children or adults at any level of dance, whether a beginner, intermediate or advanced. Our teachers are highly experienced and trained individuals who have danced professionally and understand and have experience with the standards required at all levels of dance.
Our private lessons are taught as either a one-to-one with the teacher or with two students in the session. This allows us to give focussed time to the students so that accelerated progress can be made and attention can be paid specifically to the needs of those individuals. As with all our dance classes, we teach to the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) and British Arts For Teachers Of Performing Arts standards.
Our Musical Theatre and Dramatic Arts lessons are taught to the British Arts syllabus and, for those who wish, we also enter the British Arts Awards for both performing arts and dance every year.
We actively encourage our students to take part in performances and competitions and recommend that private lessons are taken in addition to main classes in order to prepare for those events.
This allows us to give special attention to the routines that the student may want to perform at a festival or competition and prepare them properly for what should be a very positive and rewarding experience.
We are proud to be a dance school that teaches ballet to ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) standards and our children have the option, when ready, to take graded exams.
Although private lessons can be arranged at any time that suits both the teacher and the student, Wednesday evenings are currently set aside by the school for private sessions and private lessons also take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings whilst other classes are in progress.
Please get in touch to arrange a private lesson for you or your child.
We offer a free trial lesson for your child, with no obligation to join. Why not arrange to come down, meet the principal and the teacher, see our really friendly family atmosphere and your child can join in the class?
Simply get in touch to arrange your child’s free trial, by calling our Principal, Miss Natasha, or using the form to send us a message.
We aim to reply to all enquiries promptly and look forward to hearing from you.
