Tap Dancing is a great way to learn rhythm and to enjoy a style of dance that both looks and sounds amazing. Unlike a lot of other dance styles, tap combines movement with sound and rhythm and when you get it right it is incredibly satisfying.
Lessons are structured to be all inclusive and to work towards achieving a grade qualification, with the opportunity to then progress into the next grade level on completion. We don’t push our students beyond their abilities but where there is potential we seek to help this grow and so will not hold talented children back just because of their age. We believe that a child’s ability should be the driving force for their progress.
We believe in offering our students the chance to perform, which is why the school holds a show in a theatre every other year. This is a great opportunity for those children who want to get involved to dance on a stage in a full performance, but of course it isn’t compulsory as we understand that some children may find this too nerve wracking. But that doesn’t mean they can’t be involved in the classes and rehearsals anyway.
We are proud to be a dance school that teaches ballet to ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) standards and our children have the option, when ready, to take graded exams.
We currently have classes in Tap for Primary, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3 and Grade 4 classes (as well as adult classes). Our classes all take place at either Soberton or Hambledon village halls in Hampshire. Full addresses for these halls can be found on the contact page.
If you are interested in your child starting ballet lessons with us then please get in touch and we would be delighted to arrange a free taster session for them.
Please note that we do not take walk-ins at any of our classes. If you’re interested in you or your child attending a class please contact us to arrange a taster session or to enrol.
We offer a free trial lesson for your child, with no obligation to join. Why not arrange to come down, meet the principal and the teacher, see our really friendly family atmosphere and your child can join in the class?
Simply get in touch to arrange your child’s free trial, by calling our Principal, Miss Natasha, or using the form to send us a message.
We aim to reply to all enquiries promptly and look forward to hearing from you.
